Perry Library Hours:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 25, 8:00 am - 8:00 pm (chat available 9:00 am - 8:00 pm)
  • Thursday, Nov. 26, CLOSED (no chat services)
  • Friday, Nov. 27, 10:00 am - 10:00 pm (chat available 9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
  • Saturday, Nov. 28, 9:00 am - 10:00 pm (no chat services)
  • Sunday, Nov. 29, 9:00 am - midnight (chat 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

Art Library, Music Library/DCR, and Special Collections & University Archives: CLOSED

 Student Holds: If you are unable to register for classes due to a library hold on your account, please send an email with your name and UIN to so we can assist you. These will be answered daily.



  • Regular Hours:
    • Monday, Aug. 31 - Tuesday, Nov. 24: Monday-Thursday, 8 am - 7 pm; Friday 8 am - 5 pm
    • Monday, Nov. 30 - Friday, Dec. 18: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

  • Building Hours:
    • Sunday 9 am - midnight; Monday - Thursday, 7 am - midnight; Friday, 7 am - 10 pm; Saturday, 9 am - 10 pm 
    • Monday, Nov. 30 - Friday, Dec. 18: Monday-Friday, 8 am - midnight; Saturday-Sunday, 9 am - midnight
    • For exceptions and closings, check the University Libraries Hours page
  • Main automatic doors used for entrance, all other doors are exit only and remain locked.
  • Everyone must follow CDC guidelines, practice physical and social distancing, and wear face coverings
  • Chat Hours: Sunday, 1 pm - 8 pm; Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 8 pm; Friday, 9 am - 5 pm 

  Available services include:

  • Use of MIDAS login computers and student printing
  • Access and check out materials from the collection (self-checkout available); materials can be returned to book drops inside or outside Perry Library
  • Study space on all floors
  • Collaboration and group study rooms (max occupancy of rooms reduced to meet 6 ft. physical distancing guidelines; face coverings must be worn at all times)
  • All online services and resources

 Not available/limited services include:

  • Special Collections & University Archives remains physically closed. Assistance is available virtually through Chat or via email,
  • The Learning Commons conference rooms have reduced capacity and limited set-up options.
  • The library instruction room on the 1st floor will remain closed. 
  • Equipment loans are not available, except with documentation for course requirements.
  • Money for student printing must be added online at - no cash transactions at Help Desk.
  • Course reserve materials will only be available electronically through Blackboard; no print reserves will be available at Perry Library.
  • Public computers are not available.
  • Faculty/graduate student research carrels will not be assigned for the Fall 2020-Spring 2021 semesters for health and safety reasons. Assignments currently in place will be honored.
  • Book donations are not accepted at this time, and there will be no book sale this year. View our Gift Policy.
