Friends of the Library (FOL) are community donors to the ODU Libraries and are allowed to check out materials. (Interlibrary loan service is not included.) They will have their own card for checking out materials.
Friends of the Library may use the public computers but not the student computers.
If a patron asks you about joining Friends of the Library, please refer him or her to library staff.
ODU alumni receive one year of free borrowing privileges after graduation. Alumni may renew their borrowing privileges after the free year by making a $25 contribution to the Dominion Fund.See the ODU Alumni Association website for more information.

VIVA Cooperative Borrowing Program
Current ODU students, staff and faculty are eligible to borrow materials directly from VIVA schools participating in the Cooperative Borrowing Program. Direct any questions about this program to library staff.
Virginia Tidewater Consortium (VTC)
ODU students and faculty can borrow materials directly from Hampton Roads area colleges and universities who are not part of the VIVA Cooperative Borrowing Program. Patrons may come to the help desk to obtain a VTC card. Direct any questions about this program to library staff.
