Emergency Technology Loan Program

The Emergency Technology Loan Program is a collaborative effort among the ODU Libraries, Center for High Impact Practices and Information Technology Services. The purpose of the program is to provide laptops to students who need them as a result of an emergency situation. Examples of situations that qualify for this program include:

  • Unexpected living situations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic
  • In-person classes being moved online mid-semester


Loan Policies and Expectations

  • All loans must be mailed directly to the student unless an on-campus housing address can be verified (no pick-ups at Perry Library for off-campus students)
  • All loans must be returned to Perry Library by the date specified in the contract
  • Fees will apply to damaged or equipment that is not returned, as specified in the contract
  • Loan requests take up to seven business days to process
