This guide contains information about tutorials for new ODU students and how they can access them.

About the Tutorial: An Introduction to Using the ODU Libraries

This interactive tutorial is designed to introduce new students to the resources and services provided by the ODU Libraries. The tutorial takes 10-15 minutes to complete.

The goals of the tutorials are for students to:

  • Identify library services that can be used on and off-campus to assist students with their research and studies
  • Become familiar with library spaces and how to use services available within those spaces

This tutorial can be accessed via a Canvas self-enroll course using this link If you would like to give students a grade for completion, they can complete a 2 question reflection survey after completing the survey that can be emailed to you with the student name in the subject line. Please contact Lucy Wittkower, lrush@odu.edu, if you would like to receive notification when your students have completed the tutorial reflection.
