Our 2023-2024 interns attended the LibLearnX conference in Baltimore, MD, and had a wonderful time learning about the profession, getting to know each other, and meeting new people. A few quotes about the experience:
Rue Willis, an International Studies major stated, "Going to LibLearnX was an eye-opening experience. It allowed me to understand more about how libraries impact communities, and to develop friendships all stemming from the understanding that we need to help our communities. We learned about making menstrual produces more accessible, how to make courses accessible, how to keep learners engaged, and a plethora of other things."
Emily Brooks, a History major shared, "Going to the conference gifted me new educational tools, facilitated connections with professionals in my aspiring field, and accepted me into a passionate, caring community. It was an incredibly fun experience, I would love to go again if I had the opportunity!"
Kat Little, a Game Studies & Design major said, "I absolutely loved the LibLearnX conference. It made me feel more connected with the other interns and helped me figure out some career path confusions. After the conference I even ended up talking to some others about wanting to go to the next one on my own."

Quotes from a few of our interns about the experience:
"This conference allowed me to get to know my fellow interns better, and have a group to be with improved the experience."
"I really enjoyed the variety of panels that were offered. All of the topics were so interesting, it was hard to choose which panels to see. I really enjoyed the tour of the archives in Slover Library."
