What is Shepardizing?

Shepard's Citations are a highly regarded US legal citation index. The index allows researchers and law practitioners to see authorities citing a particular case, statute, or other legal authority. In Nexis Uni, Shepardizing means to see if a case has been overturned, reaffirmed, questioned, or cited by other cases. 

Shepard's Signal Indicators

Nexis Uni uses Signal Indicators to inform researchers whether a case has been affirmed, overturned, questioned, or cited by other legal authorities. These Indicators will appear to the left of case names, as demonstrated below:
