Here is a sample list of some of the newspapers and periodicals that document the history of ODU!Mace & Crown Article featuring Justin Verlander, 2002

The High Hat was the student newspaper at the Norfolk Division of the College of William & Mary. It ran from the fall of 1930 to the spring of 1961 and is a great resource to learn about student life at the Norfolk Division. An index to the publication is available in the Special Collections and University Archives department. The publication is available on microfilm and can be found on the 2nd floor of Perry Library. 

The Mace & Crown has been the student newspaper at ODU since its inception in the fall of 1961. The paper began running every month in a magazine form and then changed to a weekly newspaper. In the fall of 2017, the publication converted into a magazine that is now published quarterly. The newspaper and an index to the Mace & Crown from 1961-1989 can be found in the Special Collections and University Archives department.

UNews, University News, and Courier newspaper chronicles the history of faculty and staff at ODU from 1972 to 2009. Articles include events on campus as well as in-depth stories and interviews about faculty and staff. Copies of the publication and an index to the UNews, University News, and Courier from 1971-1986 can be found in the Special Collections and University Archives department.

ODU Magazine, Alumnews, Old Dominion University, and Monarch Magazine cover events and stories related to alumni at ODU from 1973 to the present.

The Catalyst is a publication of stories and research related to the College of Sciences at ODU from 1999 to 2001.
