Welcome to the ODU Libraries Research Guide for High School Students
This guide is intended for high school students, teachers, and school librarians who are interested in visiting or accessing resources at the ODU Libraries. The ODU Libraries are happy to collaborate with and support our schools and school libraries.
Please contact Lucy Wittkower, Head of Libraries Education & Assessment at lrush@odu.edu if you are interested in bringing a group to visit Perry Library or need assistance with anything else.
This guide contains information on how to access free materials online via the ODU Libraries, your local public libraries, and how to access materials that are freely available online.
ID and proof of employment is required for individuals who are not part of a tour or visit arranged with the ODU Libraries in advance. Tours and visits arranged in advance will have library cards created and prepared prior to the visit; please coordinate with Lucy Wittkower.
Our computers are not available for public use. Guests may use the guest wifi on their own devices.
You must have a device with a cellular data plan to access the Access ODU wifi network. Visit the ITS Guest Accounts page for more information.
Access to databases is currently not available for non-ODU affiliated individuals unless you are visiting with a scheduled school group.
The closest parking to Perry Library is the metered parking available for visitors at 43rd & Elkhorn Parking Garage A.
