Open Access (Free) Literature

Open Access articles are free and available to you even when not on campus. You can find them by using Monarch OneSearch, the main search box on the Libraries' Homepage. After doing a search, limit your results by checking the Open Access box.

Databases

Open Access

Using Databases at ODU

When you visit Perry Library, you can request to log in to a public computer station to access our databases. You will not be able to access them from your own device or from off-campus, unless you search for open access materials in Monarch OneSearch.

Databases Available Through Your School and Public Libraries

Many school and public libraries provide access to databases. For example, most public libraries subscribe to Ebsco databases, which are good general databases to begin your research with. Check with your librarian to learn more!
