The ODU Libraries welcome distance students to use our services and resources! We are here to help you succeed in your coursework and research. This guide will show you how to access and request materials and how to get help with your research. Our Library Chat or Ask A Librarian are great ways to get quick help from librarians and staff in the ODU Libraries! You can access chat on almost every page on our website, including this page. For Ask A Librarian, simply fill out the form linked below and we will respond within 24 hours.

If you need more in-depth help than an email or chat will allow, you can schedule an online appointment with a librarian. An appointment can range from a brief 15 minute session to a full hour. There is a librarian for every area of study at ODU as well as for our general education courses. Click on the link below to schedule an appointment!
