Finding Journals in your Field

Keeping up with current research in your field requires you to be familiar with the most important journals in that area. There are many ways to do this!

  • Look for journals cited repeatedly in the research you find with keyword searching.
  • Look for journals published by professional organizations in your field
  • Use databases like Cabell's Directory or GoogleScholar Metrics to find the top-ranking journals in your field
  • Ask your professors and colleagues where they publish and what they are reading!
