Primary sources are original manuscripts, contemporary records, or documents created at the time an event occurred (newspaper accounts of an event, diaries, correspondence, original research, etc.). They often offer a first-hand account of an event, experience, time or place.

Covers disciplines such as social, political, health, and legal issues impacting LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) communities around the world are included, as well as rare and unique books on sex and sexuality from the sciences to the humanities to support research and education.
