Graduate Research In Education

Research Consultations

Research consultations give you the opportunity to talk to a Librarian about finding resources for your research. Some of the reasons why you might contact a Librarian for one of these consultations include:

  • Not finding research related to your topic.
  • Navigating a database.
  • Finding a journal or article.
  • Narrowing down or broadening your keywords.

If you need to talk to a Librarian, make an appointment with a subject specialist using the box underneath the lefthand navigation menu, or click here.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a great service for graduate students. Through ILL you can:

  • Borrow physical materials (aka books, dissertations, and other stuff) that the ODU Libraries does not own from another library
  • Get articles that the ODU Libraries do not have access to in PDF format
  • Distance student? You can have books that the ODU libraries mailed directly to your doorstep. That's right!
  • ALL free of charge!!!
