Writing Studies & Rhetoric

Book Locations:

Books about writing studies will be in various locations. Some useful call number areas are:

• P 53.27: Second language writing
• P 301-301.5: Style, composition, rhetoric
• PE 1404: Writing instruction; writing centers
• LB 1631: Teaching writing
• T10.5-11.9 Communication of technical information
• HF5717-5734.7 Business communication Including business report writing, business correspondence

Call numbers A-K are on the 3rd floor, while L-Z are on the 4th (Perry Library Floor Plans).

Use the main search box on the Library's homepage to find out what books ODU library owns (print or electronic). 
For books about a particular topic, use Keyword and Subject options.  For specific books, use title or author option.

Use WorldCat if you are searching for books, dvds, cds not owned by ODU (although ODU materials are included) and then use the Interlibrary Loan option.

Searching the Dissertations and Theses database can be useful for graduate students to make sure their research has not already been done.  All researchers can benefit from the usually extensive literature review and bibliographies provided.
