ODU and EVMS Library Integration FAQ

Will EVMS faculty be able to access electronic resources from ODU Libraries? 

• EVMS faculty will be loaded into Banner and Alma effective July 1, 2024.

  • EVMS faculty will have full on- and off-campus access to ODU electronic resources by using their MIDAS username and password from the ODU Libraries webpage at odu.edu/library.

• EVMS students will also be loaded into Banner and Alma effective July 1, 2024.

  • EVMS students will not have off-campus access to ODU electronic resources, but they will have access to most ODU electronic resources on the ODU campus while using a personal device on the wifi network (ODU Guest or Eduroam) or while logged into a campus computer using their MIDAS username and password.

  • Both ODU and EVMS libraries are reviewing electronic resource contracts and will be renegotiating where appropriate. The timeline for renegotiation is expected to take a year or more.

Will ODU faculty and students be able to access electronic resources from Brickell Library? 

No. At this time, there are no plans to expand access to Brickell Library’s electronic resources to ODU faculty or students. In the future, it may be possible to expand access for some EVMS-specific e-resources to ODU users.
