How do I get research help from the Libraries?
ODU provides four libraries to assist students, faculty, and staff with research questions in all subject areas taught at ODU:
The Libraries offer a variety of ways to receive research support from our librarians and information specialists.
While we’re adjusting to the recent transition it may be confusing to determine who to contact for help or what’s the best method to reach us. Don’t let that stop you from reaching out to us. If you reach out to any of the ODU Libraries, the person you contact will either help you with your research question or connect you to someone who can.
How can I get research help in medical and health sciences?
Students enrolled in programs in Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at ODU (including Eastern Virginia Medical School, Ellmer College of Health Sciences, Ellmer School of Nursing, EVMS School of Health Professions, and the School of Public Health) benefit from medical research assistance from librarians at Brickell Medical Sciences Library. Medical reference librarians at Brickell Library provide clinical/patient care, reference, and research consultation support to students, faculty, and staff who are located at the VHS campus, the ODU Norfolk Campus, and the ODU Virginia Beach Campus, as well as students who are enrolled in online classes. Contact information for medical librarians is located on the VHS website. If you need research support in other subjects, check the subject specialist page to see a list of options.
